As lendas e mitos peruanos são histórias cativantes que procuram explicar a origem da Terra, seus elementos e o comportamento humano. Entre eles estão a vaca de fogo, lupuna, pachamama, pachacamac, entre outros.
Essas histórias foram transmitidas de geração em geração e pertencem à tradição oral do Peru. Essas histórias reúnem os aspectos culturais dos povos que passaram pelo país e são uma verdadeira amostra do folclore peruano.
Normalmente, essas histórias terminam com uma moral ou ensinamento, que se destina a doutrinar o ouvinte. Abaixo, você pode aprender mais sobre alguns dos mais populares.
Lista das lendas peruanas mais conhecidas
1- O Tunchi
O Tunchi é um dos espíritos que protegem a floresta amazônica. De acordo com algumas versões mais específicas da lenda, este é o espírito das pessoas que morreram na floresta.
O Tunchi assobia uma certa melodia e espera que os humanos respondam com a mesma canção. Se eles responderem, o Tunchi aparecerá e apavorará a pessoa que assobiou a resposta. No entanto, se essa pessoa respeitou a natureza ao longo de sua vida, o espírito não será especialmente mau.
2- A lenda do pássaro malvado
Há muito tempo, os habitantes do Peru acreditavam na existência de um pássaro maligno que anunciava a morte de uma pessoa.
Este pássaro tinha uma aparência assustadora, com penas pretas e olhos penetrantes que viam medo. Segundo a lenda, se o pássaro se empoleirasse no telhado de uma casa e cantasse, a pessoa que morava ali logo morreria.
3- O aparecimento do ser humano na Terra
Essa lenda se passa no Vale do Jauja, no Peru. Esta área já foi um grande lago com uma rocha no meio, onde um monstro chamado Amaru repousava.
Tulunmaya, o deus do arco-íris, criou outro monstro para fazer companhia a Amaru. No entanto, esses monstros não gostavam da presença uns dos outros, então eles lutavam constantemente.
O deus Tikse se cansou das lutas entre os monstros e os matou. Estes caíram no lago e seus grandes corpos fizeram a água transbordar e escoar, dando origem ao vale que existe hoje.
Após a morte dos monstros, os primeiros humanos saíram do esconderijo, já que não se sentiam mais ameaçados pela presença de Amaru. Desta forma, os humanos vieram à Terra.
4- A vaca de fogo
Esta é uma lenda de La Calzada, departamento de San Martín, Peru. Segundo os locais, há muito tempo, nas colinas de La Calzada, apareceu uma fera semelhante a uma vaca com chifres, cuspindo fogo. Chamava-se Vaca-Huillca, que significa "vaca sagrada".
Quando os habitantes do local perceberam que a vaca poderia destruir toda a aldeia, resolveram chamar um mágico para expulsá-la. De fato, o mago conseguiu expulsar a fera da cidade e acredita-se que a vaca agora viva na lagoa Cochaconga.
5- O lupuna
O lupuna é uma árvore típica da Amazônia. É uma árvore imponente, cujo tronco pode medir até dez metros de largura. Os indígenas peruanos consideram que esta árvore abriga um espírito protetor da floresta.
6-O Chullanchaqui
O Chullanchaqui é uma pequena criatura que, como a lupuna, se encarrega de proteger as florestas. Esta criatura tem uma aparência única: é muito pequena, seu pé esquerdo é mínimo e sua perna direita é uma perna de pau.
Diz-se que este ser chama as pessoas que vagueiam pela floresta, para que o sigam e depois se percam no labirinto das árvores.
7- Lago Titicaca
De acordo com algumas lendas peruanas, todos os seres vivos se originaram do Lago Titicaca. Os habitantes de Collao a conhecem como Mamacota, água-mãe, porque lhes fornece alimento.
8- O aviso de chama
Um dia, um homem levou sua lhama para pastar na melhor posição. No entanto, a lhama se recusou a comer.
Quando o homem a questionou sobre seu comportamento, a chama respondeu que ela estava triste porque, em cinco dias, o mar subiria e destruiria os seres vivos. Alarmado, o homem perguntou se não havia nada que eles pudessem fazer. Em resposta, a lhama ordenou que ele pegasse comida para cinco dias e fosse para a montanha Villa-Coto.
Quando chegaram ao topo, viram que havia animais de todas as espécies. Após cinco dias, o mar subiu destruindo os seres humanos, exceto o homem que ouviu sua chama.
9- as sirenes
Durante o século 20, era prática comum os homens trabalharem nas florestas, derrubando árvores ou procurando ouro. Durante esse tempo, os homens não tinham contato com nenhuma mulher e ansiavam pelo contato feminino.
É por isso que muitos imaginavam ver belas mulheres nas margens dos rios, mas na realidade eram golfinhos cor de rosa. Muitos homens se afogaram tentando pegar essas "sereias".
10- Pachamama
"Pacha" é um termo que significa vagamente "coisas". Esta palavra aborígine foi usada para se referir ao "mundo"; Nesse sentido, Pachamama significa “Mãe-Terra”, a mãe das montanhas, rochas e planícies, que era objeto de adoração dos indígenas peruanos.
11- Pachacamac
Pachamacac se refere ao grande espírito da Terra e não à própria Terra. Pachacamac é o espírito que dá vida a todos os seres, plantas, animais e humanos.
12- A visão de Yupanqui
Antes de assumir a posição de seu pai como soberano, o Inca Yupanqui foi visitá-lo. No caminho, ele chegou a uma fonte e viu um pedaço de vidro cair dentro dela. No vidro, ele viu refletido um homem vestido como o chefe dos Incas, de cuja cabeça saíam três raios de sol.
Assustado, Yupanqui tentou fugir, porém, uma voz lhe disse para não temer, pois a visão que havia sido apresentada a ele era o Sol. A voz disse a Yupanqui que ele conquistaria muitos territórios e que ele deveria sempre se lembrar de seu pai, o Sol, e faça sacrifícios em sua homenagem.
Quando Yupanqui se tornou rei, ele mandou construir uma estátua do Sol como havia sido apresentada a ele naquela fonte e construiu templos para adorá-lo.
13- Coniyara Viracocha
Um dia, Coniyara, o espírito da natureza, conheceu uma bela mulher chamada Cavillaca com quem teve um filho através de um fruto da árvore lucma.
À medida que o menino crescia, Cavillaca fazia com que as huacas e os deuses se reunissem para determinar quem era o pai do menino e Coniyara compareceu à reunião vestida de vagabunda. Sabendo que o menino reconheceria seu pai, Cavillaca o libertou para se aproximar de seu pai.
Porém, quando o menino parou na frente de Coniyara, Cavillaca não quis aceitar que tal criatura desprezível fosse o pai de seu filho, então ele fugiu com o menino em direção ao mar e se transformou em pedra.
Coniyara a perseguiu e questionou os animais que encontrou sobre o paradeiro de Cavillaca.
O condor disse-lhe que tinha visto Cavillaca nas proximidades, pelo que foi abençoado. Para a raposa que afirmava nunca ter visto a mulher, Coniyara o amaldiçoou, dizendo que ele seria detestado por todos e que não poderia sair até a noite. As araras que lhe deram más notícias foram condenadas a gritar muito alto, tornando-se visíveis aos inimigos.
Finalmente, Coniyara chegou ao mar onde Cavillaca estava e viu que ela e seu filho agora eram feitos de pedra.
14- Huacachina
Atualmente, em Ica existe uma lagoa chamada Huacachina, segundo a lenda, nesta região vivia um príncipe e uma princesa. Um dia, o príncipe morreu e a princesa chorou e chorou, tanto que suas lágrimas criaram a lagoa Huacachina.
15- Pishtaco
Pishtaco é um assassino que ataca pessoas que vagueiam à noite e extrai sua gordura. Ele é descrito como um homem pálido com um chapéu e uma jaqueta na qual carrega um pó para paralisar suas vítimas.
16- Layqa
Layqa é uma feiticeira que encanta as pessoas com comida. Lance feitiços para criar o caos entre os membros de uma família.
17- Condenado
Os condenados são os espíritos de pessoas que sofreram uma morte trágica depois de levar uma vida de pecado. Uma vez mortas, as almas foram condenadas pelos deuses a vagar pela Cordilheira dos Andes.
18- Machukuna
Machukuna é um ser antropomórfico composto unicamente de um esqueleto. Essa criatura vaga pelas montanhas em busca de seu alimento e trabalha nos campos como castigo pelos pecados cometidos em vida.
19- Suq'a
Esta criatura se parece com o Machukuna porque também perdeu sua forma humana. No entanto, ele difere disso porque não quer recuperar sua humanidade ou reparar os erros do passado, mas, em vez disso, busca vítimas humanas.
20- O condor
Em uma aldeia nos Andes vivia um pastor com sua linda filha. A jovem chamou a atenção de um homem que passou a visitá-la todos os dias.
Em um de seus encontros, o homem se transformou em condor e levou a garota de volta ao ninho. Rapidamente, eles se apaixonaram e tiveram um filho. No entanto, a menina sentia falta do pai. Então, ele disse a um pássaro que fosse procurá-lo para ser solto.
No dia seguinte, seu pai veio resgatá-la e eles partiram juntos. Quando o condor voltou, ele encontrou o ninho vazio. Desde então, o condor sobrevoa os Andes em busca da jovem que perdeu.
21- Narihualá, o povoado que foi enterrado vivo
Narihualá era um município que abrigava diversas tribos que se dedicavam à pecuária e à agricultura. Eles tinham muitas riquezas e um templo imponente dedicado ao deus Sol.
Ao saber que os colonizadores espanhóis estavam próximos de suas terras, resolveram se enterrar vivos com todas as suas riquezas, que só podem ser encontradas quando aparecem nos indígenas com uma lâmpada e um sino que ressoa com grande força.
22- Muqui, o goblin das minas
Há uma lenda que diz que nas minas do planalto peruano vive um goblin muito travesso que se dedica a causar problemas aos mineiros. Faça sons sinistros para assustá-los, fazer desaparecer as ferramentas ou roubar os minerais que encontraram.
Diz-se que quem conseguir capturar o pequeno goblin loiro e branco poderá tê-lo à sua mercê e se beneficiar de suas habilidades para encontrar uma enorme quantidade de ouro.
23- A enfermeira de capa azul
Uma enfermeira ficou noiva de um médico no mesmo hospital. Ambos estavam muito apaixonados e só pensavam em um futuro feliz. No entanto, após sofrer um acidente, o médico entrou no hospital para morrer nas mãos de sua esposa. Ela, que não suportava a dor de não poder salvar o marido, suicidou-se atirando-se ao vazio desde o telhado do hospital.
Desde então, dizem que uma enfermeira de capa azul que se dedica a cuidar e curar os enfermos tem assombrado os corredores dos hospitais no Peru. Ele age quando as outras enfermeiras não circulam ou estão descansando e, segundo dizem, quem se põe em suas mãos sai do hospital com saúde total.
24- A enorme cobra Yacumama
Com mais de 30 metros de extensão, através da Amazônia e lagoas como a Yarinacocha habita uma cobra bestial que é capaz de se mover através da água e da terra em velocidades vertiginosas.
Ele vai fundo na selva, derrubando árvores e capturando todos os tipos de presas, incluindo humanos. Diz-se que, além de sua velocidade e força, ele tem a capacidade de hipnotizar você se seu olhar encontrar o dele. Muitos habitantes da selva garantem que não se trata de um mito.
25- Pishtacos, os sugadores de gordura dos Andes
Também conhecido como kharisiri, é um ser maléfico com a capacidade de se transformar em homens, crianças ou animais para matar e desmembrar suas presas.
São muito habilidosos com facas, que usam para atacar pessoas que caminham sozinhas e assim extrair sua gordura. Não está muito claro qual é o propósito, mas algumas lendas afirmam que eles são enviados por senhores poderosos ou mesmo por instituições governamentais.
